Largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India, Hero has launched their new gear-less scooter Maestro which is more or less is a restyled Honda Activa old model. Remember the way, Hero bike company has always marketed their Pleasure as a female scooter; similarly here is conveying the message that it is specially designed for males so that they can have a huge number of buyers who stay away from Pleasure and opts for other bad quality scooters.
The hero Maestro looks to be bolder in character from the regular Maestro that is currently on sale. The attractive front aero-ducts, sharper lines, and stylish silencer give the Maestro an edge. The maestro has a more no-nonsense look to it but at the same time is pleasing to the eye because it is particularly in red. From the rear, the scooter is fitted with LED tail lights which are quite striking.
Rear profile of this bike is very attractive thanks to Hero Company for its angular tail light with lens indicators which are big in size and short mudguard with beautiful reflective light. It also features an elegant body collared grab rail which makes it look macho. Something creative can be seen in the instrument panel of this scooter with 3 pods surrounded with a metal finish which certainly looks gorgeous. These pods have a digital odometer, analogy speedometer and fuel gauge with other indicators.
Being a Hero company product, Maestro tends to be the very fuel efficient scooter. Due to its slow and best performance, it manages to return you very good fuel efficiency even after weighing around 110kgs. Expect that this scooter will give you a mileage of around 42-44km/LTR in city conditions while the mileage may increase on highways.

Design and Ergonomics
The Hero Maestro employs an amazing step-thru body style, which is able to simplify getting astride the seat and off it. The ergonomics offered by this scooter is that of a typical scooter, with a feet-forward upright riding seating posture.
Engine and Gearbox
The Hero Maestro scooter is powered by a 109cc air-cooled single cylinder engine which is able to output 8 bop @ 7500 rpm and 9 Nm torque @ 5500 rpm. The scooter also employs an automatic continuously variable transmission, which as a result makes it easy to ride.
The Hero Maestro uses a trailing link suspension system at its front end, and a hydraulic shock absorber at the rear end. The trailing link suspension system of this bike is its anti-dive characteristics. When the front brake of this scooter is applied, the front end does not dive, which improves stability and control
The Maestro scooter comes fitted with 130mm drum brakes on the front as well as rear wheels. The scooter is equipped with a Combo-Brake System which is also called (CBS) where both front and rear brakes are actuated even if only the rear brake lever is pulled. Using both the brakes simultaneously shortens the distance required to come to a halt considerably, when compared to using front or rear brake individually.

This is one of the most comfortable and fuel efficient scooters available till now. It has a big floorboard which is able to offer you incredible legroom even after having a glove box. The seat of this scooter is wide enough to keep you sitting for several hours without giving you much stress. Handlebar fits very well in the palms and gives you comfort while driving.
