About / Contact

Speedliting.com is the first Canon-centric site that focuses on the how-to and why-to for flash photography with Canon gear.

It’s not that I’m anti-Nikon or anti- any other brand. To the contrary, some of my best friends in the blogosphere shoot Nikon. (Proof: in 2009, I produced two week-long workshops for Joe McNally and the first-ever week-long workshop for David Hobby–both here in my hometown of Paso Robles).

Remember this; when it comes to your photographs, it does not matter what gear you shoot… it’s the image that speaks. That said, since no one else had created a portal for Canon-specific ideas and information on flash photography, I’ve decided to step up.

I am no stranger to the idea of freely sharing information. I launched Speedliting’s older brother PixSylated two years ago as a way to share ‘honestly-biased insights’ on the world of photography. PixSylated will continue its free-spirited wanderings through all types of photography. Speedliting will stay focused on information about Canon flash photography. I encourage you to subscribe to both.

I am happy to answer all technical questions either directly or via Speedliting’s How-To blog.
